COLBY + Wetsuits and Accessories

The COLBY + ethos is to be LOUD with resources, quality, and performance yet, quiet with minimal marketing, logos, and fluff. They want to create the best consumer grade wetsuits and accessories at the lowest price point possible. The team of less than 5 Boast two different types of Yamamoto Rubber alongside advanced stitching, TiZip Zippers, taped seams, and a full suit for under $300. 

The goal for the first round of imagery was to create a clean simple look for their suits and accessories. A style that would blend seamlessly into their minimal website and brand identity. 

The video series created from the production was fueled by two concepts. The first was that they wanted to explain in laymans terms what is going on with their suits, and wplain the differences in neoprene quality. The second was to round out the product videos by alowing others to talk about the product and give an honest review. So we orgranzied couple of talented surfers and asked what they thought, the result being almost more bloopers and classic surf head responses. But in the bloopers and the smart ass responses we discover the authentic surfer first mentality of COLBY +, where they care more about user experience and would rather have real surfers with honest and candid opinions talk about the wetsuits then a marketing team.
